Version History for DBeaver: Somehow the appears to be triggering macOS's built in Java download prompt for the old Apple Java, which is almost certainly not a good idea, given how old it is. Shouldn't it at least attempt to use the version of Oracle Java I have installed? sudo apt install default-jdk ced54feff4c3293205bd26fce836fc1d0d5749dd Except you only get the version that was released at the beginning of the cycle. In other words, when your subscription is over, you have to downgrade to a version that's a year old. Bugs and all. Filed under Prior to SQL Server 2017, if you wanted to run SQL Server on your Mac, you first had to create a virtual machine (using VirtualBox, Parallels Desktop, VMware Fusion, or Bootcamp), then install Windows onto that VM, then finally SQL Server. This is still a valid option depending on your requirements (here’s how to install SQL Server on a Mac with VirtualBox if you’d like to try that method). It's a little buggy but it does everything the paid tools do. The only thing I really dislike is it requires Java.
